Bitcoin value set to leap 70 percent in 2018

In a report following Bitcoin value again reaching an all time high, the founder of Standpoint Research has predicted a 70 percent increase in value in 2018.

Ronnie Moas, founder of Standpoint Research, told clients in a report earlier this week: “There have been many positive developments during the last five months and a few of the obstacles that were in Bitcoin’s way have been knocked down… An argument can be made that the good news is still not fully reflected in the current price.”Moas’s report predicts the value reaching $14,000 next year. On Monday, Bitcoin reached $8,245 which then represented an all time high.

The prediction is not unfounded, with the report citing CME Group’s plans to venture into Bitcoin trading before the end of 2017. CME announced their plans in October this year, after which Bitcoin value surged to well over $6,000.  At the time, Terry Duff,y, CME’s CEO and Group Chairman, said: “Given increasing client interest in the evolving cryptocurrency markets, we have decided to introduce a bitcoin futures contract.”

Looking back only as far as July, Bitcoin was worth just $3,000. Many people have been wishing they’d got on the Bitcoin bandwagon sooner, but if these predictions are correct then there’s a lot of money to be made in the near future so now is the time to buy.
